Statement
Guadalupe
Healthcare Network’s Mission is to contract with high quality
physicians and facilities within our geographic service area
and facilitate managed care contracts on their behalf that will
reduce their administrative burdens and financial risk by utilizing
our messenger model PHO. Through these contracts, individuals
and businesses will have a greater choice of local, preferred
providers.

Us
Since
1995, Guadalupe Healthcare Network-a physician hospital organization
(PHO)- has contracted with various managed care networks and
insurance organizations on behalf of its physician and hospital
provider members. Through these contractual arrangements, GHN
facilitates access to its providers through over 100 insurance
and employer-sponsored health plans.
GHN continually expands its provider network, which now includes
Guadalupe Regional Medical Center, Otto Kaiser Memorial Hospital,
South Texas Surgical Center and more than 140 physicians
from Seguin, New Braunfels, San Marcos, Floresville, Kenedy and
San
Antonio.
GHN strives to meet the needs of the community by seeking
contractual relationships with local and area providers and managed
care companies that provide quality and affordable health benefit
plans. GHN has also expanded its list of managed care plans that
local businesses and individuals can choose from for in-network
health insurance providers.
Although GHN does not sell health insurance directly to the
public, it works with independent local insurance agents who provide
this service. Local agents work with GHN to ensure local businesses
and individuals have a choice in various managed care/health insurance
products.
